This is a planned layout for my double page spread. Using the examples of other magazines, i've decided that this is the type of layout that will suit my magazine.

These are some examples of the types of double page spread layouts I could use. The first of the double page spreads has several pictures on the page and also some text supporting it. In total, this double page spread contains 16 pictures.

The second of the double page spreads, has one main image on the background of the page. This one image contains all the band members either sitting or standing.

On the bottom left hand side, there is a quote. "I'm back to a place where I can enjoy this again". The main text is found on the left hand side of the double page spread and on the top right hand corner also.

Finally, the last of the double page spreads has one min image, but this time it takes up one-third of the double page spread. The rest of the page contains a masthead, 'Infected' and text supporting the image and the masthead.

This the image I will using for the double page spread. For the double page spread, one-third of it will be taken up by the image, and the remaining two-thirds by the interview writing.

The image I have used has a sort of scratched out effect on the sides. I achieved this using the rubber tool. I applied a white coating on top of the image using another layer. After doing this, I then used the rubber tool and started scratching out several different areas.
On the double page spread, I'm also going to include a masthead at the top reiterating the name of the magazine. The interview will contain about 800 words to fill the remaining two-thirds of the double page spread.

As you can see, the addition of text has been added below the titles. Under these titles, is information on what is going too be included within this magazine. The headline above the cover line has had a border added around it. The colour of the border is red, following the original house style of the front cover.

On the bottom right hand side of the magazine, the second cover line section, is the review section. Under this section, you have 4 different titles illustrating what is going to be included with this magazine.

This is the final stage in the construction of my contents page. The final pieces of information have been added
onto the magazine contents page. On the bottom of the contents page, a quote said by one of the band members from Fugitive. "This has been our golden year".

Next to this, are the subscription details for my magazine. The magazine front cover has been added to the bottom of the contents page with the subscription details.

This is my finished piece for my contents page.

This is the start of my contents page. At the very top the contents page, the masthead of the magazine has been written there, continuing the house style of the magazine. Just below the title of the magazine, is the date and the issue of the magazine. On the right hand side of the the contents page, is the text written "This weeks issue". It has been slanted slightly to the right, filling the corner of the page.

The masthead, the date and the cover line, have all been given the colour red. The font I used for the masthead and for the date was broken 74. The effects I used on both these pieces of text were inner shadow and the outer shadow.

This was the second stage in the construction of my contents page. I've added in the first part of my cover line writing. The text that have been added to the cover line section are the numbers and the titles for the several sections dividing the cover line section.
The font used for both the numbers and titles were base O2. The titles for the cover lines have been given space for the additional writing that will be added onto the cover lines.
Just above the cover line, there is a small heading written in the same font as the masthead, broken 74. This small heading was written here to illustrate that this section is going to include main features.
Here is the title of my Magazine front cover title. I have used the font 'Broken 74' for the title of my magazine. I selected this font because it suits the genre of music I am doing, as it stands out amongst most things on the front cover of my magazine. The colour red was used to highlight danger/trouble, and it also stands out more than other colours on selection.

The effects I have added to the title of my magazine, is an inner shadow, giving it a shadow on the inside of the the letters. The other effect i've given the title is that of an outer shadow. The outer shadow gives the title a more dense look to it or a more bold look.

I used the same font for the writing of the date just below the title of my magazine. I continued with the same theme colour and used the same red colour to fill the writing. The effects i used were the same as for the title; Inner shadow and outer shadow.
This circle on the bottom of the page was put in place to advertise a chance of winning a prize to see Fugitive in a live concert. I stuck with the colour red as it is very easily noticed on the front cover of the magazine.

The one thing I did to alter the circle on the magazine, was to it that opaque look. This meaning that the image behind was clearly seen, instead of having part of the main image blocked off.

This is the strapline at the bottom of the page, illustrating the various different bands which will be spoken about or seen within this weeks issue of the magazine. Again, the colour used was red, so that the continuity of the front cover was continued. For this strapline I also applied the used of the opacity tool so that the min image behind was still clearly visible.

This is the early stages of my construction of my music magazine. The first thing I did was to alter my picture by desaturating it, giving it a black and white effect.

The clothing that the members of the band are wearing are of the indie nature. All the members of the band have their eyes fixated on the camera. My house colours are that i'll be using are red, white and black.

What I then did was to add in the masthead and the magazine issue date using a red font. The name of the font that I used was called Broken 74.

I then added the text "Exclusive interview" in black on the left side of the magazine.

On this second picture, you can see that I have added several different features onto my magazine.

At the very bottom of the magazine is a Strapline, consisting of the various different artists and bands which are in this magazine. Artists such as, "Cancer bats, Lily Allen, Paramore and White lies". This gives the reader a 'heads up' on what lies within the magazine. Also I altered the Strapline by using the opacity tool to give it a 'see through' effect

Just above this strapline, is a opaque circle on the bottom right hand corner. I am planning to use this opaque circle to advertise gifts and prizes.

The name of the band 'Fugitive', has been added below the text, "Exclusive interview", to reiterate that this interview is from the band 'Fugitive'. Below this, you have text along the magazine saying, "Photos from there tour in Miami". This is telling the reader that this is one of the main features within this magazine, along with the interview.

This is the final piece in the construction of my music magazine.

Inside that opaque circle I mentioned earlier, there are several different things I have added inside. I put inside that there were 4 posters on the inside of the magazine which takes the attention of the reader. I also added that there was a chance of winning a free ticket inside this issue of the Broken Ghost.

Below the text, 'Fugitive', I continued to advertise the "Exclusive interview" by adding that it was with every member of the band. "Get up close and personal with the members of Fugitive"

This is my Finished piece of my magazine in constrution.
